How EndoBarrier Works

The EndoBarrier™ Gastrointestinal Liner is placed in a simple, brief, nonsurgical, endoscopic procedure and is easily removed.

In place, it lines the small intestine just below the pylorus, creating a physical barrier 60cm in length to keep food from coming in contact with the intestinal wall. Physicians believe this barrier may alter the activation of hormonal signals that originate in the intestine.
